When I asked Liz to go out on our first date, I planned for us to go on a 12-mile hike. Little did I know, she recently just finished hiking the John Muir Trail and was in tip-top hiking form. As you can imagine, I took a lot of brakes to catch my breath while Liz and Luna are yards ahead of me enjoying the trail. I certainly didn’t plan it to go that way but I knew that day that the outdoors is a big part of her identity. P.S. To this day, she still crushes every hike we go to.
