“She Wolf” / With eyes full of wisdom and gentle curiosity, this sea wolf emerged from the fog just as I was ready to pack it in for the day and head back to camp. Our eyes met for only a brief moment, but in that instant, I knew that she had seen more of the BC coast and Canada’s biodiversity than I would ever be able to. Wolves are not only excellent at maintaining order within their environments, but they are also living monuments to the untamable wilds. We have long lost our reverence for such creatures, but I hope through my lens I am able to remind us of their beauty and importance.
