To kick off we have @scott_mccracken_ an amazing artist who studied at @edinburghcollegeofart and then completed the @turpsbanana course in London which led to him running the correspondence course! . If you haven’t heard of @turpsbanana then look them up. @fionaverity is currently enrolled on their mentor course via correspondence! Wherever you are in the world you can do this course!! They also have a physical space in central London, which started out as an artist run magazine leading to a studio and mentor program, giving artists the much needed support especially after graduating from art school. . Scott McCracken’s paintings form an intricate system of shapes and symbols within his work, each painting talking to the next. "We are already looking at a kind of gathering, these are paintings that ‘bring things together’. Each painting feels like an event – a form of surprise. Boxes, tables, boardgames: diagrams and objects interchange. The domesticity of still life is the ruling genre that these suddenly unfamiliar paintings re-create – they grow from a sense of home but, at some point, are spurred to accelerate away to new dimensions." - Art Gazette. .
