What does being brave mean to you? For me it is being confident despite any fear that I may be feeling.
Being brave is going to doctors appointments alone unsure of what new test doctors would order. Being brave is taking new medications and experiencing the side effects of it. Being brave is confronting people when they don’t believe you are sick. Brave is asking for help. Brave is living with a chronic illness.
I have learned how to harness and embody this feeling throughout my journey with my chronic illness. Being an advocate is one of many things I do, but probably the most gratifying because I get to help others be brave, too.
And now, I get to help others #bravetogether with @Si_swimsuit &
