This year is full of magic, abundance and possibilities. It has been a year of milestones of deep confirmation and transformation. Tomorrow is one of those milestones. At 8:30pm EST I will have a work broadcast on national TV and have a world premiere through a commission done by @allartstv & @theshedny and in partnership with @natblacktheatre. Then a screening of that film on the Big screen April 7 @metrograph curated by @arcostanzo. The special nature of this work is that it is a love note crafted for me by Source, God, my Ancestors to weather a turbulent year. This film has been my salve to meet some profound moments of grief and unsteadiness. Dedicated to my grandma and premiering on the week of my dad’s birthday it is wild to see this day show up. A day when I will share with the world a journey and process I have held so close to my heart. So here is to allowing the world to witness my heart, to hear my soul and to see me stretch into a new lane of creative expression. I want to thank @sade1111 for being my doula in this process. She kept fueling my choices and creating conditions for my success. I have to also give a deep profound THANK to @rickeytripp for creating the choreography, @konfront & @joysingstoo for composing the sonic landscape and @thomaswirthensohn for being the director of cinematography and editor. To the virtuosic dancer who held this full narrative in her body @queenlhop.
