First of many 💥 Sneak peak of my new fighters series. This growing body of work started as a deeper exploration into the world of boxing and MMA-watching fights, shooting my friends’ matches, and focusing on my own training practice. I search the internet for imagery of fighters that captures a feeling I resonate with. I then reinterpret these images as oil paintings, where I use my own color palette and paint movement and softness into the original static images. I intend the movement to bring a dreamlike quality to the work that emmulates the flowstate you can sometimes achieve in training or fighting.
