Today I am celebrating my 1yr #cancerversary. On this day last year I was diagnosed with #stageIV #triplenegative #breastcancer. This has been one of the toughest years of my life. Countless chemo treatments, scans, blood draws, appointments, port surgery, hair loss, battling side effects, fatique, and mourning my previous life... BUT, I'M STILL HERE! With a newfound love and sense of appreciation for the blessings I have, I am grateful to see another year. Grateful to continue the fight. I have the most amazing team @kelseyseybold and @mdandersoncancercenter. I couldn't ask for better people In my corner. My family and friends have lifted me up in prayers and support along the way. I am forever grateful for all of you I am currently in bed fighting the yucky side effects of the new chemo treatment I started yesterday... BUT, I'M STILL HERE! A wise friend told me at the beginning of my journey, "we can do hard things ". I am living proof of that. I have faced countless fears, and pushed through my darkest and most challenging days. I'm not big into celebrating my birthday, but I look forward to celebrating my life on this day for many more years to come. If you're in this battle too, know that there will be hard days, but make the absolute best of the good days ahead. "Courage is fear that has said its prayers".
