I’ve spent the last few days reflecting on the events and issues that are tearing our nation apart. I’ve been listening, learning and having tough conversations with friends, family and teammates. Even today, it’s hard to articulate what’s going through my mind and in my heart. It shouldn’t take the tragic deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and too many others to get people to take action. THAT NEEDS TO CHANGE. It’s time to stand with our brothers and sisters, take the initiative to better educate ourselves about the prejudices happening in America, and advocate for systemic change, racial equality and justice. It’s our responsibility to leave the world in a better place for future generations. If we lead with love and treat people as HUMANS first, we will be the change we want to see.
