Brooklyn-born magazine Wax Poetics has joined hands with Patta once again to produce a super limited edition T-shirt.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠This time, the collaborative garment has been elevated with a 3M screen print. Wax Poetics has been taste-making since 2001 as a quarterly magazine dedicated to vintage and contemporary jazz, funk, soul, Latin, hip-hop, reggae, blues, and R&B. It has established a dedicated following of music enthusiasts.⁠⁠ A group of writers and record diggers came together to tell the story of beat-digging culture. They contextualise what the people are listening to by looking at where the music came from and the stories behind it.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ After a brief hiatus and a relocation to the Netherlands, Wax Poetics is back releasing 2 physical magazine issues this year as well as an insane amount of content for their website (www.waxpoetics.com) members.⁠⁠ Patta and Wax Poetics have worked together to create an article series called ‘Cover Story’ where record-collecting artists discover the story behind their favourite record sleeve in each issue. ⁠⁠ Patta Soundsystem will be a returning contributor to the magazine and Wax Poetics supplying the Patta Blog with articles new and old from their extensive archive.⁠⁠ The latest issue comes free with every purchase of the new Patta Soundsystem x Wax Poetics T-shirt and high-quality Wax Poetics stickers.⁠⁠ ⁠⁠ The Patta x Wax Poetics T-Shirt and the latest issue will be available Friday, November 25th on patta.nl and on the Patta mobile app.
