Today's (let them call them) fashion critics fall down in amazement and praise when some raper appears on a red carpet wearing a skirt or when a singer comes up to a scene with feminine clothing elements such as feathers or heels. In narrow circles, this is called a breakthrough in fashion, but this thought has no sense because men were wearing women's clothes before, and it was convenient, wide-spread, and just okay. ⠀ Men did farming, hunting, building, and it was all comfortable to do in a skirt. From the ancient Greeks to British royalty, men wore "wrong clothes," and pants replaced skirts for men relatively recently, in the nineteenth century. ⠀ Does this signify another fashion cycle and that men in skirts will soon become the next trend and then go away again?
