Grief, 2021. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The experience of losing someone close has been rooted in Grief. But the accompanying emotions — confusion, anger, joy, and hope have been unexpected and much more difficult to process. I'm realizing that's the thing about Grief — it's not a singular emotion, it's the totality of everything you feel. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ This project is meant to capture the emotions I've been feeling this past month. Adé was a master of self-expression through art, and this is my way of honoring and paying respect to my friend. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ When I shared this set with @vincetagram3 last night he replied with a quote from The Wire that he'd been sitting with recently — "Ain't no shame in holding on to grief...so long as you make room for other things too." And that's what I'm gonna keep doing, just how Bubbles did in the show. I love you, homie. ⁣
