After 6 years of riding the roller coaster of perimenopausal and menopausal weight gain (+ other symptoms), I am DONE. Literally and figuratively. “Done”...as in I’m fully in menopause now, but also “done” with feeling obsessed over the symptoms. I'm just to the point where I want to surrender. No more extreme ways of eating or extreme workout plans, I just want to grant myself...my mind...and my body some grace.
I want to have a more positive and loving approach to caring for my body. I want to choose to exercise because it helps me feel good, not because I have to look a certain way. I want to choose to eat the healthy food because it's nourishing for my body, not because I want to look slimmer. And if I want something sweet.. I'm going to have it. Everything is okay in moderation.
I am just freakin tired of beating myself up, judging myself, comparing my body to another version of me or worse... comparing it to someone else online. Anyone relate? 🙋🏼♀️

And even though I personally have been talking about menopause for 6 years, I know this is not a topic that is often discussed among women... or even addressed by the medical community! That’s why it’s so important that we share our experiences and resources. We're in this together!
