My PCOS affects my skin intensely and since moving to the States there’s been some big flairs and I find I struggle ALOT with pigmentation and scarring which in turn sets of triggers for my Body Dysmorphic Disorder. So getting facials frequently helps me maintain better skin but also address my concerns in a healthy and trained environment. Recently I had one of the best Skin needling appointments I’ve ever had here in America at @purelynaturalmedicalspa and I wanted to share with you all what Skin Needling looks like and how my facial actually was, all the steps that were taken. Skin needling can seem really scary! I totally get it! I’ve been needling on and off for a solid 4 years now and I really find it’s the only thing that after a few sessions really helps me move my pigmentation problems. Of course I understand everyone’s skin is different and how PCOS appears in others would be different to me, but if you’ve ever been curious about what the process looks like I hope that this gives some insight. I will say as well the numbing cream they used was some next level amazing stuff, I barely felt a thing when the machine passed over the first time through to the third, if you were afraid of the pain at any level the cream they use at @purelynaturalmedicalspa was A+++ Also I haven’t ever had a skin needling appointment where the hyrda facial was used for prep and in this instance I found it REALLY made a difference with my recovery and seeing some instant deep hydration right after treatment. The Hydra machine was used in prep to cleanse and moisturize by pushing water into the skin and makes a healthy barrier that accepts the treatment well.
