@UncleNearest Master Blender @VictoriaEadyButler schooling me this past weekend at the Uncle Nearest Distillery in Shelbyville, TN. Victoria is the first ever back-to-back winner of Whisky Magazine’s Master Blender of the Year title (2021 & 2022). In 2021, she was the first woman ever to earn that title and has been named Master Blender of the Year by two additional groups. These are blind tasting competitions, folks!! Oh, and did I mention she’s a great-great granddaughter of Nathan ‘Nearest’ Green, the godfather of Tennessee whiskey and the man who schooled Jack Daniel (see my previous post)? She is. As she says, ‘Whiskey’s in my blood!’ 🥃
