“In the first 30 years of your life you make your habits. For the last 30 years of your life your habits make you” Recently read Steve Job’s biography and because I was turning 30 this line really stuck with me. Anyone who knows me, know I’m a bit obsessed (probably to an unhealthy degree) with productivity, morning routines etc so this quote made me really reflect on the habits I hold, good and bad before I hit the big 3-0. Then I realized that as true as the above quote is, after 30 years what I’ve learned and would add is — in the first 30 years of your life you make relationships, in the last 30 years of your life your relationships make you. My life has been blessed with such beautiful relationships — my family, friends & wife. I would not be who I am or where I am at in life without these relationships supporting me, teaching me, challenging me and caring for me. The climb on this journey of life is not easy, but because of the people in my circle I persist through the valleys and continue to reach new peaks. Relationships changed my world both personally and professionally and today because of this “I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth.” Here’s to the next 30, baby!!
