Lia Zulalian-Moynihan’s sculpture “Flower Bed” is a resting place for colorful potted plants for three seasons of the year. But during the winter, the work is coated by a layer of snow taking on a new look for the season. Zulalian-Moynihan did two residencies at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Arts/Industry Residency at Kohler Co. (WI), which expanded her practice into large-scale artworks made from cast iron and brass. Her works are part of museum collections including the Peabody Essex Museum (MA), and Racine Art Museum (WI). Lia Zulalian-Moynihan, Flower Bed, 2000; iron and brass. John Michael Kohler Arts Center Collection, gift of Tryg Jacobson in honor of Frank Jacobson. @jmkac #jmkac #LiaZulalianMoynihan
