I wrote a track about my little brother. One of my favourite people to photograph. And lift up. Little shit. Wasn’t meant to be a song. Just something I wrote after a day out. He fell on his face after coming off his scooter. Got a big fat bruise. Cheeky one. I tried explaining bruises to him. I told him that they “hurt then hurt then disappear”. He didn’t say anything. We all headed back. Us and dad. A few hours later. To his mum. He repeated those exact words. I couldn’t believe it. I was a real life influencer. Stuck with me. A couple of weeks later, this was made. It’s a collaboration with @unitedfreedomcollective called 1994. It’s called that because he reckons that’s when his power ranger was born.
