For us nail-challenged gals 💅🏽 1. I have genetically horrible nails. They have always been thin, brittle, and hard to grow. 2. I’m hard on my nails because I wash my hands 60+ times per day while seeing patients in clinic. 3. As a dermatologist, I know all the “right” things to do for ideal nail growth, and I also know that so much of your nail quality is predetermined by your DNA (and some of us just aren’t blessed 😣) 4. With a new baby, I find it hard to find time to get to the salon for a manicure, or to paint my nails at home, so I’m always looking for quick solutions. ENTER “press-on nails.” I can get these on in less than 10 minutes and I’m ready to rock n’ roll. Now, of course the nail glue used to apply these is damaging to nails (as are polishes, gels, acrylics, etc.), but I sort of put it into the same category as hair dye — I’ve weighed the risks and benefits and (FOR ME) the aesthetic benefits win out. Over the course of two weeks, I often will have to re-glue on a few nails, but I honestly don’t mind because it takes 10 seconds. Have you used press-on nails before? Any favorite brands? These @kissproducts nails are my current go-to and I buy them in bulk 🤣 I’ll link them in my stories! #nails #nailsofinstagram #nailpolish #pressons #pressonnails #pressonnailslovers #healthynails #nailtips #dermatologist #dermatology #dermatologia
