So as many of my friends know, I’ve always wished I had a visual medium for my art, I never really could draw or paint but in recent years I’ve started working and writing for screen. I remember being a kid and loved the Geico cavemen ( S/o Röyksopp- Remind me) the Budweiser lizards, Volkswagen and Apple commercials of the 2000’s and a piece of me said I always wanted to do that. So last spring I wrote a *Spec Ad* for @Converse . Totally unbeknownst to them, without any prompting. I wrote produced with my own money lol and directed a summer commercial about a traveling performance art piece powered by @Converse Chuck Taylor all stars, with my good friend and amazing Videographer @redgaskell. While I did get it to the converse team and had a couple of meetings, ultimately they decided to pass on the idea . If you work in the creative field you know you hear a lot of “no’s” so it’s no biggie. But I thought I’d share it here with you all and also drop my name In the hat for directors *cough* I KNOW IM ON THE MOOD BOARDS *cough* . This whole process was so fun except pushing the 60lb slab of ice .
