The first show is in the books and I can honestly say I have never enjoyed the first show of a tour as much as last night. Normally I am back stage in a state of anxious panic before the first show. When they open the doors I always have this feeling of “what have we done?......this is going to be a disaster” (and not the beautiful kind #LOL #blessed)... But last night, for the first time in the however many years I’ve been doing this, I didn’t feel that. What I did feel was excited to play with the incredible guys in the band. Honored that @kris_allen is out with us. And overall just so grateful for the people in the audience for allowing me to do what I love. I took this screenshot yesterday in the green room while the girls were FaceTiming me showing me the new package that came in the mail which was a state of the art robot/vending machine that looks strikingly identical to one of my daughters. I think this picture is a snapshot (screenshot) of why I’m a little calmer, more present, more grateful and less anxious before the first show. My worst day can’t be too bad when I have state of the art robots like these at home waiting for me.
