It started with a pre-dawn conversation. One of those mornings when you wake up worried about the state of our planet. What can we do to make it better? How can we contribute? That was the simple question @PaulNicklen asked me all those years ago in the dark. The answer was beautiful, We would start @SeaLegacy, an impact non-profit organization that would be in service to the whole ocean and climate community. What could we offer? Our images, our films, our skills as storytellers and communicators. We have had many sleepless nights since then because fundraising is hard; partners are not always ethical or fair; success is not always easy, but the results have also been amazing. I am proud to say that SeaLegacy has incubated many solutions and has launched many careers. We have helped change legislation and create new protections for places and species. It has lifted hundreds of organizations and individuals in the front-lines of conservation and we have done it all thanks to you.
