It’s here! Works reef day! **happy dance** we love reefs and hope you do too. Repost from cofounder @oceanramsey . A little reef clean up this morning for world reef awareness day. @oneoceandesigns is giving away these double side pocket leggings if you tag them in a photo or video you post doing some conservation effort. I actually recommend carrying a small mesh bag in the pocket to use rather than hooks and smelly fishing line and debris straight in but I tested them out and they are stretchy and surprisingly a large capacity pocket. @xcelwetsuits and @gopro are giving away the wetsuit top design and a #gopro too. Above all seeing that honu (Hawaiian green sea turtle) whose whole front flipper had been amputated plausibly by fishing line, like so many we see wrapped up in this area, it just reassured me that the efforts to not only remove direct entanglement, and other debris from the coral, can help save the reef but also the lives of many other marine animals who swim over and close to it. Thank you to those who help out both directly and indirectly, awareness alone can help more than you realize because with awareness the next step is solutions and that can include preventative efforts from those who might be in a position to make significant impact.
