My first memory of meeting Dan was in a trailer backstage at Live Earth in 2007. I had just finished my freshman year of college and was there to see some of my favorite bands perform on one stage (with an All Access credential thanks to DPS). Until now, I don’t know that I have ever really acknowledged how much that experience directly lead to me changing course to a career in music. Everyone reading this has seen an event produced by Dan Parise, either in person or on tv. I am incredibly grateful that I got to be a part of a small fraction of the countless shows that he was responsible for. I am even more grateful for all of the nights across Europe and the US that I got to spend with him over the past few years - drinking wine, hearing his stories and learning about the history of live music. A history that he helped create.
