Watching Women & Girls by our editor @daniellepender launched last week! 💓 As women, and anyone who has ever felt othered we instinctively know what it’s like to be watched, to have our every move examined. Watching Women & Girls is a collection of 12 stories that examine what living under a microscope does to us. The stories explore how we internalise the gaze, how we police ourselves and others because of it. How we perform for it, challenge it and sometimes stare back. A wedding day brings back memories of sisterhood and betrayals; a motorway service station is the site of explosive violence, but also strange bonds; a trip home forces a reminder of a life-changing, lost friendship; a woman confronts her own infidelity; an artist celebrates a life spent in observation.
