The final installment of Isle of Vitr∴ous titled “Hyphal Stream” is now on view @biennaledelyon thru Dec 31. This machine painting (co-authored with AI) was trained on a dataset of my first aluminum paintings. For the past 2 years I’ve been engaged in a triangular exchange with an algorithm, a soft metal, and a feeling. Through it I’ve discovered a delicate liminal landscape that only appears as a flash of light and is impossible to capture.
