TONIGHT! @thehotelcafe Im opening for @justinkawikayoung on the Main Stage. We go on at 7pm and JKY goes on at 8pm . Im blessed to share the night with @carrot_blackwell on BASS @weidmanross on Drums As a Local Kid back home In #Hawaii I grew listening to Justin and watching Justin do his solo work & listening to his songs on the local radio back home and music vids in OC16. It was just automatic. Once as a young kid around 19 or 20, freshly moved to LA I sat next to Justin on a plane and was too nervous to say anything. Fast forward to being on a TV show out here that you never saw me on, while we were living in the hotels, Justin was on TV performing with another group he was in at The Opry. He’s always been there for me one way or another..... then he surprised me when I played the 2nd stage at Hotel Cafe some years ago & shared some aloha and then we became friends. & then he asked to me rip some guitar on a tune on his new record. Life is crazy, for a local kid, this means a lot. So much love Justin, Mahalo Nui for having me & lettin me in. And THEN WE SPLIT A NIGHT at The Hotel Cafe together?!
