In the early morning hours of March 25, 2022, hundreds of likeminded souls from around the world gathered at the edge of California to take on the continually evolving challenge of LALV. Exchanging embraces and knowing nods, the mob waited for the clock to hit 4AM — a chorus began counting down from 10, each number bringing the inevitable push east to Vegas one second closer. In an instant, more than fifty athletes took off on foot, followed closely behind by a fleet of vehicles: RVs, passenger cars, and the occasional Lincoln Town Car limousine.
