There is always a moment in the middle when I understand why. Why we leave the bubble of too much and take a day to sit in too little. We packed in the car and headed to the grocery store to get meat, one of the items the orphanage said they were in desperate need of and a bunch of other necessities and games. Our kids asked questions, picked stuff out, and uncharacteristically happily helped. We walked in, hands full and shared smiles and hugs with the kids as were introduced to Jaqueline who had just arrived a few weeks ago. She was bright eyed, hair braided, and had a pep in her step. She stood and smiled at us as the director told us her story. She left Honduras alone and started walking. She walked and walked alone and brave for over a month until she arrived in Mexico. Jaqueline is 12. My kids and I stood with our mouths gaped open as she nodded and we all felt of her bravery and good natured spirit. Sitting in Jacqueline’s story of courage and loving on these kids was why we were there today. AND, we were there because they need you too! This orphanage is 5 min from the Puerto Vallarta airport and need your love and support if you happen to travel there too!!
