‘THE WOMAN KING’ IS IN THEATRES NOW!!!! ICYMI: I talked to the cast on the #TIFF22 premiere red carpet for @r29unbothered. This answer by @johnboyega was one of my faves! There are so many things I love about this film — yes, one of them is that it’s chalk full of stunning dark-skinned Black women (with melanin levels over 85% lol)!!! John gets it!!! He takes a backseat in this movie (as he should!) to this glorious cast and I love that he mentions their skills and talent. Watch it not just for the representation, but because it’s a really GOOD, epic, emotional blockbuster that deserves to be seen on a big screen. Read my (spoiler-free!) review at the link in bio.
