Use the hairline to determine your placement. For example, if a client has more of a widow’s peak, I’d opt to use two foils along the two lines leading to the point of the peak. Whereas, in this video I am going straight across because the hairline is...straight across. I always use zig zag partings as opposed to straight partings to diffuse any lines automatically & create a blend simultaneously. This makes my job 100X easier because it has prevented me from having to immediately do a drop root, color melt, etc. I still do them on occasion but with intentional placement & mixing & matching foiling techniques, it makes all the difference. Your client is your canvas so pay attention to the distinct attributes they already have so you can create the most customized color & experience for them.
