This week felt surreal.
I found myself sitting in rooms with @worldgovsummit and @forbes talking about something I think about all the time but don’t always know how to put into words: what it actually means to have a platform.
We talked about the tension that comes with sharing opinions online. The discomfort. The responsibility. The fact that creators don’t just influence what people buy, but how they see the world, what they question, and sometimes how they make decisions about their own lives.
I shared parts of my story being diagnosed with breast cancer at 19 and choosing to be honest about it online. Not because it was easy or strategic but because I didn’t see myself represented anywhere. Because I wanted young women to feel less alone, more informed, and more empowered to advocate for their health.
The through line for me has always been this: influence only matters if it’s used with care and if it leads to real change beyond the screen.
I’m grateful for conversations that slow things down, ask better questions, and remind me why I started sharing in the first place 🤍
