Positive connection and relationships are at the heart of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission. That’s why I’m so excited to launch a series of Big Idea Forums across the country that are bringing our incredible and innovative local affiliates together in intimate settings to discuss, ideate and activate on what we do best—empower youth, families and volunteers through the power of mentorship. This past week in Atlanta, Ga. we brought together a first wave of our agencies serving 25 of our major metro markets to dive deep into how we meet young people where they are and grow and innovate to impact in their lives. In addition to great ideas, energy and planning I was most impressed with the connection we have a cause, the genuine and passionate people who work in our mission and the spirit to know we can do great things for young people when we do it together. These forums are helping us to launch a bold strategic plan launching in 2023 to empower every young person we serve on a path to graduate with a plan for their future and a mentor whose impact last a lifetime. And this is only the beginning. I’m looking forward to many more Big Idea Forums to come as we connect with more of our local agencies, partners, Bigs and Littles across the country. Thanks to an incredible national team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for bringing this together.
