I did it! Arizona State class of 2022, first generation graduate! 🎓🔱
Man oh man do I have a book to type. I’ve been waiting to post my grad pictures for quite some time because I had to adjust to reality that, wow, I’m really an adult with the world in my hands and endless possibilities of the future. Well that and I just paid my last semester 😂. My college journey is one I will never forget. I am so grateful for every single experience and person I met along the way. I learned so much these last four years that one day I will go back to complete plenty more to fulfill my goal of studying medicine. I changed my major 5 times so I guess you can say I was lucky enough to dabble in each study. From Biomedical sciences to psychology, criminology, business marketing, to finally realizing that I LOVE science and secured a Applied Biological Science degree. When I tell you that nothing during these past four years were easy, I managed to accomplish more than I ever imagined in such a short time period.
I never had an idea of where I wanted to go to college, but I knew I had to. Arizona state happened to be the best option for me. Going into Asu, I was a regular student but as days went by, I knew I couldn’t just stop playing sports, so I tried out for the track team and happened to make it. When I tell you I was so ecstatic, I knew I got my groove back. I played all types of sports from 5 years old till my collegiate year. I never had an off season because my sports were always back to back, but yet, I’m grateful to be able to say I competed at a collegiate level. My freshman year living on campus was the best year, hands down. The following year I realized my courses were getting quite tedious so I took a step back and focused on my studies. This was the first year that I felt lost. Sports were my identity and to become a regular student really took a toll on me. As I sat back for a month, I realized I couldn’t just be a student, so without any expectations, I signed to my first agency. I always managed to juggle multiple side hustles while in school, just to keep me in routine.
My senior year... was a whole different journey... read more below
