There was a time when I didn’t recognize myself, not only because of how I looked but because of how my body and mind felt. The feeling is so hard to describe because you just feel so uncomfortable in your own skin.
I was constantly inflamed without even knowing it, dealing with PCOS symptoms I didn’t even understand yet and i was just completely disconnected from myself and my purpose at the time. I wasn’t working out, and when I did, it had no real intention, structure, or guidance behind it. I ate whatever I wanted without considering how it was affecting me physically, mentally, or hormonally, and little by little my bad habits piled up until I caved into them completely.
I lost structure, discipline, and eventually I lost myself, and with all honesty here this was a constant cycle over the years (of loosing myself and wanting to change over and over again). This didn’t change overnight, or in a few weeks or months… and it definitely wasn’t easy. It took years of hard work, self-love, and discipline to learn my body, manage my PCOS, and rebuild healthier habits through proper nutrition, intentional training, and consistency.
my transformation isn’t just about how my body looks now, it’s about the structure, patience, and self-respect it took to regain control of my health, of me, of my LIFE. If you’re in that “before” season right now, feeling inflamed, overwhelmed, or discouraged by PCOS, or any hormonal balances please know you’re not broken and you’re not behind or alone.. you’re in the middle of becoming.
god is so great and i asked him for strength each and every year to keep me fighting for the life i have now.
If this is your season right now, and you feel just like this trust that God is still working in you, even when progress feels quiet, and you definitely don’t need to go through it alone.
