🇵🇹 6 VILLAGES YOU CAN’T MISS WHEN VISITING GERÊS 🌲 📌 Save this post for your next trip! 😉 👉 Brufe: this village has a special meaning for me, because I’ve visited it by chance on a very rainy day and, when we arrived there, it stopped raining, and we found @oabocanhado, where we decided to have lunch (I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was exceptional)! after that, the weather was so beautiful, so I decided to fly my drone, and you can see the result in the photo above 🥰 👉 Pitões das Júnias: this is undoubtedly one of the most unique places in Portugal! in addition to being one of the highest villages in the country, its vibes are just amazing, there are no words to describe it. I’ve stayed there on a 5 nights stay, and I could easily come back and repeat the experience 🌙 👉 Sistelo: it is popularly called “Portuguese Tibet”, due to the man-carved terraces that you can find in the whole valley, and the landscape is so beautiful! I’ve made a post about this village some days ago here in the feed, so you can read it for more info about it! 🌿 👉 Castro Laboreiro: this one is also one of the most isolated villages of the national park, and I think that is what makes it special, as well as its unique castle, on the top of the mountain ⛰ 👉 Lindoso: this village provida an incredible view to Spain, on the other side of River Lima. it is known for its imposing castle, as well as its granaries, which are placed around the castle. this is one of my favourite villages in Portugal, so you cannot miss it when visiting the North! 🏰 👉 Soajo: as well as Lindoso, this village is known for its granaries, located at the highest point of Serra do Soajo. despite the fact that I like Soajo, I think that it is not so unique as the other villages, but it is also worthy! ✨ 💌 Follow @francisco.travels for more inspiration and travel tips! 🙌 #visitportugal #visitportoandnorth #visiteurope #turismorural #naturetourism #villages #instavillage #mountainlovers #naturelovers #gerês #geresnationalpark #nortedeportugal
