Over the last several months I felt like I lost my identity and my reflection was just a being in the mirror, couldn’t really recognize myself. I had to detach from consistent social media for the sake of my mental and emotional well being. Everyone is different but I know y’all lying if you say this shit doesn’t make you fuzzy and numb from overstimulation. See too much, fed too much. Life is meant to be experienced not curated. We not walking tumblr blogs. I went thru experiences that I once thought I was immune to. I’ve had to be humbly taught that no one is safe from the highs and lows of life. It’s all about how you manage your situations and not so much the situations themselves. Anyone can point and say you have it better or worse than them. Thru my journey of growth, I am proud to share that Ive been cultivating a whole new version of myself thru my music. Replacing unhealthy habits with healthier ones. Been really digging deep into my emotions and experiences and letting them do the talking. Pushing myself and dropping every ounce of effort back into me and it feels empowering.
