I grew up in a small town in Montana. I always wanted to leave - escape to the city. But I never felt more Montanan than after I left. A few years ago I discovered this SOUND that reminded me of my childhood, of my first home - of my mom who taught me to believe in myself - of my dad who would take me hunting, then after 7 minutes walking in the morning cold would ask, “You wanna just go get pancakes?” - of my grandma Aretta who used to watch Star Wars with me during sleepovers - of my sister who has never failed to follow exactly how she wants to live her life - of my first family - the people and place that made ME.
