I wanted to share a new piece of art by my talented daughter Lydia. ‘Midnight hunger’ 60/60cm acrylic on canvas. She says....This new piece encapsulates everything I love about painting. I have felt my style drift towards this for a while, combining old style richness with sketchy line work and playful colours. The inspiration for this piece came from a photograph I saw a while ago which I have had saved and always knew I wanted to materialise. I loved how the table was full but the chairs were empty all whilst a painting hung above with such presence, almost filling the chairs.
