As another Fashion Week has begun in New York, we start our mini historical overview. 😎 ⠀ It's not a secret that New York is literally the American heart of style, but it's also been named the "father" of Fashion Week. France was the first country that held a catwalk, but WWII became an obstacle to French fashion's growth, and there came the "mother" of Fashion Week. ⠀ Eleanor Lambert, publicist and founder of Fashion Designers of America, hosted Press Week in 1943, which became known as Fashion Week's birthday a few years later.
