Came across this photo today, some throwback this🤣 The ages of 16-20 were some of the most challenging in my life. My personal and family circumstances started unravelling pretty dramatically but it’s important to say I’m as responsible for this as anyone else, so no pointing any fingers. Nonetheless it resulted in me working 5 part time jobs whilst at college full time to pay for the cheapest flat I could find which I was still struggling to afford. I remember one night sitting alone eating new potatoes out of a tin for my dinner thinking that it would be good to reminisce on this when I’ve “made it”. The L’s continued, along with some mental health issues that I didn’t have the ability to recognise at the time, but eventually the negative spiral sparked a positive one and I went on to do some of the crazy shit that a few people know me for now. My definition of “made it” has definitely evolved, back then I thought it was a big house, flash car and enough cash I could tell anyone I wanted to fuck off. These days I know that committing to my own personal development and helping other people do the same is way more meaningful than “making it”ever could be. I ain’t chasing fame or money, but if it can help facilitate the above then I’m here for it. So cheers to my younger self, what a ride it has been so far. To think this is just the beginning...
