Prey For The Devil - Movie Review 2.5 out of 5 Freddie B's - Average For a movie to be about spirits, your soul and religion... This movie has no soul. The movie has no point. No origin. No beginning as to WHY all these things have to take place. Why is the protagonist the focus? That's the main reason that keeps this movie from being better and actually satisfactory. The movie starts off fine enough and as it goes on, it does enough as to not fall prey (see what I did there) to become formulaic alongside the other "exorcist" movies. There are parts where you think it will, then it enacts enough changes to keep it from that. Movie is nimble enough in the plot to keep a little better than the standard fare in this realm. It employs its fair share of jump scares and basic lazy scare tactics. Not much of the scare comes from something created from the actors or plot. Casting is fine but nothing spectacular that adds to it. But it doesn't take away from the movie either.
