Since 1977, The Drawing Center has provided a home in New York for drawing, for artists who make drawings, and for those who love them. In our four and a half decades, we have worked with or provided services for hundreds of artists at various stages in their career. Artists are the beating heart of The Drawing Center's ecosystem. Each year, we are honored by their participation in our annual auction event—which raises critical funds for our exhibitions, public programs, publications, and educational initiatives—and this year is no exception.
The drawings contributed by more than eighty international artists and artists’ estates for our auction—which is live online and will conclude with a celebratory event at The Drawing Center on September 28—are extraordinary, and especially appreciated as we plan ambitiously for the year ahead.
