I wasn’t “supposed” to be a CFO. 🎓I have 2 Mechanical Engineering degrees and was told I didn’t have the “right” degree. 🧭I made intentional career moves and was labeled “a risk” for switching companies. 💼I led high-performing teams that delivered results and was told I needed “Big 4” on my résumé. 🗣️I spoke with clarity and conviction and was told I was too “direct”. ⚡I learned fast and was told I didn’t have the right experience. 🚀I pushed through obstacles, delivered beyond expectations while increasing my remit, and built trust and was told to “wait” my turn. Sometimes the feedback isn’t about you. It’s about the frame they’re looking through. Today, I’m the CFO of @powers_of_reasoning, a woman-founded media agency.
