W-O-W camping on Santa Cruz Island was MAGICAL! Here are my tips for maximum fun: • pack snorkel equipment because the cove is MAGIC... I’m talking a seaweed forest, fish, sea lions! We stayed in the water for hours just floating and observing 🐠🐠 • definitely rent kayaks (we rented ours on the mainland with Island Packers, who run the boat that takes you over and back) because there are caves and coves to check out • pack light because you have to bring all your food and gear over, and take it all back — a wagon is great so you can roll your gear to the campsites, which are set back a mile or two from the dock • there are wild adorable tiny foxes the size of chihuahuas all over the island 😱❤️ • if u have a camping hammock bring it! Lots of trees and a perfect environment to chill and read... or nap. • and Dramamine was my best friend on the 1-hr ride 🤢 That’s it. Go enjoy nature!!!!!
