Boxing is the only thing I do for no other reason than the pure joy it brings me. So much so that it spills out into my “job” of being an artist. These days when I am not thinking of boxing, I’m painting boxers. The fact that boxing has nothing to do with my career, proving something to myself or others, or any kind of external motivation is very liberating. I do it because I love it, and it’s as simple and refreshing as that.
