Hello everyone... Amy here. 👋🏻 As many of you may know I am opening a new concept that brings fashion and interiors together in a more sustainable way... even though I have zero retail experience (other than working at Abercrombie when I was in college for 3 months). My goal isn’t to necessarily run the best shop or sell the most clothing, because to be honest I’m not sure how good I will be at that part 🤣. What I really want to do is share my love of fashion with you while also bringing so many thoughtful brands from all my travels and work in the industry to my hometown of Kansas City. I’ll be collaborating with so many incredible local people as well, like @mattcastilleja, @houseofpalmshop and @devonhimesstudio, sourcing new and vintage pieces for your home. I like to call it “a consciously curated lifestyle” that’s more about timeless style than keeping up with ever changing trends. Leisurely fashion... nothing fast about it. Blackbird is derived from my middle name “Merlo”, passed down from my great grandmother Maria Merlo who immigrated from Italy. There will be women’s, men’s, kids, home and interiors so I promise there will be something special for everyone.
