American Flat Track's @americanflattrack doubleheader event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds turned out to be a challenge, as weather postponed the Springfield Mile AFT Singles main event from Saturday to Sunday. However, Sunday's event was later canceled due to inclement weather, and the Singles class was unable to run the main event. Before rain interfered, Turner Honda's @turnerflattrackracing Dalton Gauthier @dalton_gauthier79 grabbed the fastest qualifying time of the day on Saturday, with Morgan Mischler setting the fourth-fastest time. Teammate Chase Saathoff @saathoffchase claimed sixth in qualifying. Gauthier sat in pole position for semi 1 and was able to land a fourth-place finish. Teammates Mischler and Saathoff took off from the front row of the grid for semi 2. Saathoff was able to lead six laps and walk away with the semi win, while Mischler ended in sixth. The riders picked up one point each as a result of the cancelation. Mischler still holds second in points, Gauthier is fourth in the standings, and Saathoff is seventh. #ridered
