Lets break down 09RB! So why add this to a blonde formulation? One of the jobs of 09RB is to control the cooler aspects of a formula from over depositing or becoming too muddy. Let’s say for example you have a blonde client with porous texture hair. Now, this formula drop I’m about to give does not apply to this video but I wanted to give you something pretty to look at while I break this down!! Sure you could go in and tone her zones 2/3 with 09V + 09GI + clear, but lets not forget, the job of GI is not necessarily to control cooler aspects of a formula.... WHY? because GI = Gold iridescent so the amount of gold deposited onto the hair is EXTREMELY minimal. The job of GI is simply to add brightness to the tone. So you would need to add in a series that would assist in adding a “whisper” of warmth into the formula... just a pinch if you will to help control. 09RB is blush... super translucent, extremely light.
So next time you encounter this situation I encourage you to try:
09V ( 1 oz) + 09GI (1 oz) + 09RB (1/8 oz ) + clear (1 oz)
The perfect balanced BRIGHT and BOLD blonde ON a client with porous hair.
