🦁 INSTAGRAM TAKEOVER WITH THE AUTHOR/ILLUSTRATOR OF TIMID, HARRY WOODGATE 🦁 I am very lucky to have a studio at home where I do most of my writing and illustration. I have lots of corkboards with postcards and prints by other artists I find inspiring, as well as a big shelf of picture books and an array of plants which are miraculously still alive even though I sporadically forget to water them. The only problem is that the Wi-Fi is patchy at best, which is great for stopping me scrolling through social media when I’m supposed to be working, but not so great when I get disconnected from Zoom calls for the third time in a row! Outside of the studio, the places I feel most creative – or perhaps more accurately, the places I find most creatively replenishing – are out in the countryside, in the comfy sofas at the back of my local coffee shop, or at home with family. I love walking, cycling, and exploring botanical gardens and natural spaces which provide the opportunity to breathe, stretch the mind wide, and decompress the senses. That is where creativity grows, for me.
