Be fearlessly you. 从小我就有个与生俱来的能力,那就是我无时无刻都能活在自己的世界里🫧 不管周围发生什么事,我似乎都能选择性的不受影响。 最近刚好听到了 @sandywis 的一集Podcast,讨论了家中排名对于一个人个性的影响。同样身为老幺的其中一位主持人和嘉宾都异口同声的表示“置身事外”是身为家中排名最小的成员的强项与特例。呵呵,听到这里我就超有共鸣!😆 由于我是家里的老幺,所以总被姐姐们呵护着,因此有些责任就可以“顺理成章”的交给更有经验(和年纪比较大)的她们处理并不去多加以理会。哈。 我多希望每件事我都能置身事外啊!但偏偏我也是个对于周遭环境与他人情绪特别敏感的人,因此长大之后才发现原来小时候的“特例“帮我挡掉了很多心碎。 姐姐们大我很多岁,当我还在念书时他们已经在外工作或者有很丰富的社交生活了。因此她们常外出,而我也常一个人在家。后来我发现自己极度喜欢这样的独处时光与安静的环境。(一整个下午都没人和我抢电视和食物,也没人烦我!)有些朋友可能会觉得这样子的成长过程很寂寞孤单,但我完全不那么觉得!我反而特别享受!而且天天都觉得很开心!哈哈哈。 So... somehow I always intuitively knew that the secret to my happiness lies in being in a quiet space and having a lot a lot a lot of time alone. As I grew older, I started to pack my days with back-to-back events thinking that it was the key to a productive and successful life. Also, I was insecure over the fact that I might be labeled as lazy or unmotivated if I spent too much time alone. Even though I was happy meeting people (fun fact: i am an introvert who loves to to meet new friends!!), but most of the time I would come back home and feel very unauthentic, unfulfilled and surprisingly, unproductive. Gradually, I realized that the success model of other people is simply not the same template for me. Everyone of us is different and unique. We still work hard and smart, but we also need to discover who we are and find out for ourselves what works best for us. Now, I try to schedule in more time to cook, bake, listen to music and do expressive writing. These are habits that truly make me feel alive! I really need solitude and a lot reflection time to feed my soul. Not everyone needs to be slow and quiet. Some people function better otherwise. I am just very happy that I get to explore different methods and learn all these through personal experience. I am also still exploring and constantly learning how to exercise wisdom and practice the courage to say ‘no’ to what is not aligned with my values. 最近听到了一句很抚慰人心的话:“长大其实不会让你改变,长大反而会让你更像自己”☺️ Be fearlessly and unapologetically you. #slowliving #mindfulness
